BOOKINGS, PAYMENTS AND CANCELLATIONS

There is a maximum of 4 people per net lane.

All bookings for the hire of UZI Cricket Academy facilities or participation in UZI Cricket Academy Coaching courses or One to One Coaching shall be made using the appropriate booking form online.

The person by whom the booking is made must be over 18 years of age and shall be considered the ‘customer’. If bookings are made on behalf of an organisation or a club, that organisation or club must be named at the booking process and shall be considered the ‘customer’ and shall be jointly and severally liable along with the person who makes the booking.

When hiring a bowling machine, please be aware that you will need someone to operate the machine on your behalf.

The hours of facility hire include preparation and clear-out time.

Bookings can be made online all year round.

To confirm your booking full payment must be made at the time of booking which will be done by secure credit card payment when you check out your basket. You will receive a confirmation email that details all bookings. It will confirm the times and dates / or course details for coaching.

You will also be able to view your order and make cancellations in your account login area.

Please note that once your booking has been made and you have received your confirmation email – no refunds or credits will be given if any cancellations take place within 48 hours of the activity commencing.

If a cancellation is made with more than 48 hours' notice, you will be given a credit back into your UZI Cricket Academy account and you will not be given a monetary refund.

UZI Cricket Academy reserves the right to refuse applications for the use of the facilities or to attend coaching courses, or to refuse any application without being required to give any reason for such refusal.

Public Liability Insurance Certificate.
Clubs, Schools, Universities, Corporations & Associations etc must hold a valid copy of their Public Liability Insurance Certificate (£5,000,000 cover) prior to the start date of hire. UZI Cricket Academy may ask to see it should the need arise.

 

USE AND CARE OF THE PREMISES

The Hirer shall not use the centre for any purpose other than that specified on the booking confirmation email.

Reasonable care must be taken to protect any surface or equipment that is likely to suffer damage as a result of the hire.

It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that all minors (under the age of 18) are wearing and using the appropriate protective equipment. U18s must wear cricket helmets when using the net facilities with hard cricket balls.

UZI Cricket Academy accepts no responsibility for accidents or injuries which occur under parental, club or other hiring of our facilities.

If the premises are not fully vacated by the time given for the function to end, a surcharge will be made for the extra time.

The Hirer shall agree to repay to UZI Cricket Academy all expenses which may be incurred by them in cleaning, repairing, making good or replacing any part of UZI Cricket Academy buildings or the contents thereof which may be lost, damaged or destroyed in consequence of the Hirer’s use of UZI Cricket Academy facilities.

The Hirer shall indemnify UZI Cricket Academy from and against all costs, claims, expenses or damage incurred or suffered by UZI Cricket Academy arising either directly or indirectly out of the use of the Hirer of the hired facility and equipment of UZI Cricket Academy.

When hiring a bowling machine, you receive a bucket of balls and for every ball not returned there is a £5 fee.

The Hirer shall not carry out any alteration to the buildings or fittings, nor shall he/she fix or make fixings for any apparatus, equipment or decoration without prior consent from UZI Cricket Academy.

Hirers must observe the maximum capacity in net lanes.

The maximum lane capacity is 4 people. With consultation with the UZI Cricket Academy Centre Manager may, at its discretion, allow a maximum of 8 people per lane at the Hirer’s own risk.

The maximum arena capacity is 28 people.

The Hirer is responsible for ensuring that all persons utilising the facilities hired are properly attired for the purpose for which the hall is hired. In most cases, this will be cricket whites, tracksuits, training shirts and non-marking sports trainers.

Footwear that has been worn outside, or which is likely to dirty or mark the floor must not be worn. Spikes are prohibited. The decision of UZI Cricket Academy or duly authorised personnel as to whether attire or footwear is considered suitable shall be final and binding.

All persons and Hirers wishing to use the bowling machine (BOLA) must receive training from UZI Cricket Academy staff prior to hiring. The minimum age for use of the bowling machine is 18. All persons under the age of 18 must be supervised by an appropriately trained adult. UZI Cricket Academy reserves the right to refuse the use of the bowling machine. It is the hirer’s responsibility to come and ask a member of staff for the appropriate training should they need it.

No consumption of food in the net lanes or arenas. Only plastic sports bottles are allowed in the playing arena ad net lanes.

Smoking and vaping are not permitted in any part of UZI Cricket Academy premises.

No photographic apparatus of any kind whatsoever shall be brought into UZI Cricket Academy for commercial or private purposes without the express written permission of UZI Cricket Academy.

Photographic equipment is occasionally used in coaching sessions at UZI Cricket Academy. All customers consent to the use of being filmed for these purposes and consent to the use of any of this content to be used by UZI Cricket Academy for marketing purposes.

The Hirer shall ensure that all vehicles are parked in the UZI Cricket Academy car park. UZI Cricket Academy does not accept liability for loss or damage to any vehicle or its contents whilst parked on the UZI Cricket Academy premises.

In case of fire, Hirers should familiarise themselves with and inform their participants and spectators of the escape routes and the location of the fire extinguishers, fire alarms, exit doors and rendezvous points. It is the responsibility of Hirers to seek this information from UZI Cricket Academy staff prior to making use of the facility.

No animals are permitted on the premises other than a dog belonging to a registered blind person.

UZI Cricket Academy reserves the right to dispose of as it deems fit of any property left on the premises if such property is not claimed within 1 month of discovery.
